Questions
Can a bank lend beyond 35%?
Yes, for at most 20% of its new loans, mainly for a main home. The calculation applies the general rule.
Can you borrow for more than 25 years?
Up to 27 years for a new home or an older one with works, when repayment starts after a deferral of two years at most. Repayment itself still lasts 25 years.
What about a deposit?
It adds to what you borrow for the total budget, and often covers the notary fees. It does not change the 35% limit.
Which rate should I use?
The bank’s, or an example. The rate shown at first is not a market average: replace it with the one you are offered.
Are my numbers sent anywhere?
No. Everything is computed by your browser. No amount leaves your device.
